Bottling a sense of adventure
Rumson’s needed to differentiate themselves in a crowded marketplace full of major brands with deep pockets. We looked to evoke the proud and memorable aspects of a fulfilled and adventurous life. We designed a vintage graphical style that speaks to the nostalgia of life’s richest experiences, utilizing imagery to connect with adventurers for whom every scrape and bruise is a badge of honor. A logo was forged that deepens the emotional connection between adventurer and sidekick: a swashbuckling play on “man’s best friend”. We also honed a brand vocabulary that underscores the brand’s association with life’s greatest escapades: “Life lived. Life enjoyed.”
In year one of launch, Rumsons captured over 300 points of distribution captured, exceeded sales forecasts & won numerous design awards and acknowledgement of product quality and brand intrigue.
